The Mirror of Soul

 The Mirror of Soul

Within the quiet depths of night,
When all the world is still,
There lies a mirror, pure and bright,
That bends to no one’s will.
It hides behind the mask we wear,
And waits for us to see,
The truths we often do not dare,
But long to set them free.

It shows the scars we try to hide,
The fears we keep inside,
The dreams we bury deep beneath
The tides of foolish pride.
Yet in its glass, a light remains,
A spark that gently glows,
A whisper calling through the pain,
A strength we barely know.

The mirror speaks in silent ways,
Reflecting who we are,
Not just the face but hidden grace,
And every distant star.
It knows the kindness left unsaid,
The love we sometimes lose,
The silent tears, the hopes we've fed,
The path we didn’t choose.

So when you stand before its gaze,
And shadows start to fall,
Remember: though its light may blaze,
It comes to heal it all.
For in the mirror of the soul,
There’s beauty, wild and true,
A story waiting to unfold,
And courage born in you.
